Yard waste can include grass clippings, leaves, trimmed branches, and more. Many landfills have banned yard waste, so local garbage collectors will no longer collect bags of clippings. Instead, you’ll have to call a service to come and remove the waste for you. Some will even bag things up for you for a fee. Other options are to create a compost pile or burn the clippings – but most people have too much yard waste for either of those options to be viable.
